Celebrate National Energy Efficiency Day!

We are getting ready to celebrate an exciting day in our industry, National Energy Efficiency Day, (#EEDay2021) also known as EE Day. EE Day is the first Wednesday of October. Energy efficiency might not be on the tip of your tongue. But in our office, we live and breathe it every day. So when our industry got a national day of recognition, we were ecstatic!

In honor of this special day, we created a video to inspire everyone to become an energy superhero and save more energy. Check it out.

Everyone wins when you use less energy.

By reducing pollution and greenhouse gas levels we help the planet and while saving money on your energy bill. Learn more about and our decarbonization services featuring zero net energy / carbon project support and how energy efficiency helps reverse climate change.

How your business can save money

We specialize in helping businesses, public sector agencies, and higher educational institutions save energy. There’s a variety of ways to get started saving energy and even get money or no-cost technical support to start saving.

Commercial Building Energy Audits

Many organizations start investigating energy saving opportunities by getting an energy audit. If you’re not familiar with what a good energy audit entails, check out this post describing what is an ASHRAE  Energy Audit. One key to getting the most value out of your commercial building energy audit is hiring a reputable energy auditor. Learn more about how to hire an energy auditor here.

Retro-Commissioning

Another avenue to energy savings is by performing retro-commissioning (RCx). We describe RCx in this post, as well as other terms used for building commissioning.

If you’re wondering what the difference is between energy audits and retro-commissioning, check out this post.

Find out if your building can benefit from retro-commissioning from one of our RCx specialists.

Saving Energy and Money at Home

You can also save money when you’re not on the clock. At the end of the day when our engineers retire their spreadsheets, you’ll find many of them geeking out on energy efficiency while using the Sense Home Energy Monitor, calculating and optimizing their EV charging costs while navigating time of use rates, and installing smart LED fixtures.

Ready to Get Started?

There are many ways to achieve energy efficiency, from energy efficiency retrofits to efficient new construction. Some clients have in-house resources to explore these options, and others seek third-party representatives such as ourselves. Some agencies prefer hiring a once stop shop such as an energy service company (ESCO) that both designs and implements energy saving projects. You can find out how to improve your ESCO experience here.

No matter where you are in your interest in saving energy, we commend you on exploring the world of energy efficiency. If you have any questions about saving energy contact us anytime, where it’s like national energy efficiency day every day.
