To ensure your building is a good RCx candidate before beginning work, we qualify it using a quick walk-through, utility data, BAS review and stakeholder interviews.
We do our homework to understand your building before stepping on-site reviewing real building data from the BMS, mechanical documents, and control sequences.
We spend time on site developing measures and specific scopes of work for custom solutions and control sequences tailored to your building and its control capabilities.
We incorporate site staff feedback early and ensure recommendations match your operational and economic priorities. Throughout implementation, we are available to answer technical questions and make sure the job gets done right.
Getting the implementers involved early ensures our cost estimates are accurate and include site specific accommodations such as design fees, commissioning fees, and temporary services when needed.
Use post-implementation data to ensure that the savings appear on the bottom line. We share our findings with staff to ensure that they understand how to maintain savings over time.
We are PG&E’s Retro-Commissioning Program’s top consultant performing RCx services since 2007. Under this program, we completed over 60 projects to date with over 38 million kWh savings.
We conduct RCx studies for customers nationwide. Our utility clients include COMed, Pacifcorp, PG&E, SDG&E, SCE, and SMUD. We also provide RCx services to private clients such as AT&T, Apple, Cisco, Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory and Shorenstein.
Arik Cohen P.E. is Principal of RCx services with over 15 years of experience. Arik has presented on the topic at the National Commissioning Conference and the Silicon Valley Leadership Summit and also teaches at the Pacific Energy Center.
